VLM Foods Inc. joins U.S. CBP Center of Excellence and Expertise
Company part of initial industry cohort that will transform how trade will be processed for the 21st Century
Pointe Claire, Qc; May 16 2016 – VLM Foods Inc. is proud to announce that it has been officially welcomed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a participant in CBP’s Agriculture and Prepared Products Center of Excellence and Expertise or APP CEE.
An importer’s participation in a CEE is subject to CBP vetting for compliance with supply chain security best practices as well as Customs compliance controls. Importers meeting CEE criteria benefit from an account based management-partnership with CBP which sees their customs entries channeled through a Center staffed by CBP Import Specialists, Entry Specialists, National Account Managers, and other trade professionals familiar with the importer’s products as well as having the requisite experience and expertise to authoritatively facilitate trade issues.
